Aqua - water! It's in (almost) everything, and it's hard to hydrate without it.
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil - Jojoba has anti-inflammatory properties, is deeply hydrating and mimics the action of skins natural oils, making it a perfect choice for freshly waxed skin.
Rosa Moschata (Rosehip) Seed Oil - incredibly high in Omega 3, 6, 7 and 9, Rosehip oil is a miracle oil for skin repair and regeneration. It can help reduce scarring and pigmentation due to the antioxidants and fatty acids it contains.
Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water - Witch Hazel can relieve inflammation and irritation in the skin due to the tannins it contains. It is often used to treat acne and oily skins due to the astringent effects, but can be drying if used in high concentrations or without hydrating ingredients.
Polyacrylamide - used as a stabiliser and emulsifier, polyacrylamide absorbs water and helps lubricate lotions.
C13-14 Isoparaffin - an emollient with a waxy texture that creates non-tacky formulations. It enhances the texture of products and is a skin-softener as well.
Glycerin - A humectant (that means it absorbs water from the environment) that helps to offer long-lasting hydration.
Butylene Glycol - Primarily active as a solvent, keeping products from going 'gritty' Butylene Glycol also acts as a humectant to absorb water and keeps the skin hydrated and moisturised. It is predominantly derived from corn or sugarcane sources.
Polysorbate 20 - A stabiliser and emulsifier that helps products to feel 'wet' on the skin.
Inulin Lauryl Carbamate - keeps oils within products stable, derived from the roots of various plants it stops products from splitting.
Allantoin - an emollient commonly used for minor skin complaints, it helps to repair the skins barrier.
Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Extract - the oil of grapefruit has antibacterial and antifungal properties, antioxidants and contains vitamin C.
Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract - eases redness and calms itching, ideal post waxing!
Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice - Aloe is an all-round skin saviour, offering cooling hydration and calm its soothing effects are perfect straight after waxing.
Laureth-7 - this fatty alcohol is derived from coconut oil, and is an emulsifier and cleansing agent.
Poly (Hexamethylene Biguanide) Hydrochloride - commonly called PHMB this is a disenfectant and antiseptic that is best avoided in high concentrations, but is common in products such as deodorants and first aid applications.
Alcohol - A common preservative in skincare products, high levels of alcohol in skincare are bad for the skin and are extremely drying. There are some types of alcohol (such as cetearyl alcohol) which are actually good for the skin. In low levels alcohol keeps products feeling light and non-greasy.
Disodium EDTA - a stabilising agent that prevents ingredients from bonding with minerals that exist within the product, making the job of other preservatives much easier.
Benzoic Acid - a naturally occuring acid found in plants that is used as a food preservative. It has analgesic and antiseptic effects.
Potassium Sorbate - naturally occuring in rowan berries, this is used to inhibit the growth of molds and yeasts, increasing shelf life of products.
Backhousia Citriodora (Lemon Myrtle) Leaf Oil - One of natures strongest known antiseptics, and one of our favourite ingredients in skincare. It smells of lemon sherbet and acts as an uplifting tonic.
Citral - derived from lemon peel, this ingredient is strongly antimicrobial, and is a very large part of the makeup of Lemon Myrtle oil.
